4th week - Humility Brings Grace! The measure of your humbleness will determine the measure of grace you will receive from the Lord!
“…and be clothed with H U M I L I T Y: for God resisteth the proud, and GIVETH GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.” 1 Peter 5:5 (KJV)
Grace by definition means: Divine influence upon the heart and its reflection in the whole life. It also means: Undeserved favor. It all speaks of God’s Presence, His Power, His Glory, His Ability, His Anointing, His Might and His Favor.
Grace is what we lack the most and Grace is what we need the most. Grace will come when we do not trust the arm of the flesh. Grace will come when we ask God to get involved. It will also come when we are grateful and thankful for what the Lord has already given us. Grace will be drawn from a pure and hungry heart, desiring to worship the Lord and give Him all the glory and honor. All this requires being humble, dying to self, carrying our cross daily and always looking to the Lord.
Grace is our inheritance. Grace is our lot. In our society, every one seeks his or her rights. Most of the time, we do it our own way. We should seek Gods’ grace and favor instead. David did, and he was called a man after God’s own heart. May we be like him – people of grace and favor.
