“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16 (KJV)

When our conscience is not clear, we are trying to run away from the Lord. That’s because we are walking with a sin consciousness. Sometimes people try to “help” us get into that wrong position. Like the 3 “friends” of job, they tell us their stories, their achievements, their comparisons only to get us further away from the Lord.

The Bible says though, in the above scriptures, that our great High priest is well able to be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, because He had been in our place. He had endured every temptation we will ever face and therefore, He is always gracious and compassionate towards us.
