| Jesus in Daniel. Daniel is my favorite Bible character in the Old Testament. The Bible says about him he was different, because he had an excellent spirit in him (Daniel 5:12 and 6:3). Jesus also came to show us a different and excellen kind of a standard of living - life abundantly, which had not been manifested till then (John 10:10). He was 100% God, yet, called Himself: The Son of Man, wanting to show us how we can live as "sons of men" while here in this Earth. In His communication with Daniel, the Lord also called him: The son of man. Actually, the Lord did that for only two persons in the Old Testament - Daniel and Ezekiel. This is speaking about how we can live and express the Divine Spirit that is in us, even though we are still in our flesh and blood body. In Daniel Jesus is also the Crushing Stone in Nebuchadnezzar's vision, and the Kingdom of God in Person / The King of kings and Lord of lords in Daniel 7:27. |
