Jesus – The Savior of the world, also came in a hostile environment, in a time when the Jews were under Roman bondage. So, in the context of national salvation and deliverance, we can see Jesus everywhere in Esther. He was in the wisdom and words of Mordechai; He was in the favor Esther had with the King and He was in the very act of salvation of the whole nation of Israel out of the hands of wicked Haman (who represented the devil), thus crushing the power of sin and death, so to speak, in an Old Testament fashion.

Another beautiful illustration would be the picture of Jesus and His Bride, in the face of King Ahasuerus and Esther. If the Body of Christ, which is also the Bride of Christ, shows even a fraction of the humble yet glorious attitude this Old Testament lady showed toward her husband – the King – many things would be so different now.
