Jesus in Ezra

Jesus in Ezra can be seen, like in Nehemiah, as the Governor of Judah (Ezra 6:7) - the One Who rebuilds the Temple and no enemy can stor Him.

In Matthew 16:18, Jesus Himself said:

"...upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

Ezra was a Scribe and a Priest - Jesus is the Word and He is our High Priest. Now Ezra, together with Nehemiah, were called not only as builders, but also as Restorers. It's one thing to build something out of nothing, but it is another to rebuild something lying in ruins. That's what Ezra and Nehemiah had to do and that's what Jesus had to do - rebuild the temple of the human body, after thousands of years of sin and corruption working in humanity. That same body of sin had to be dealt with, so it can become the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

That's the toughest thing to do, yet Ezra, Nehemiah and Jesus accomplished it very well.

God Bless You!
