The Purpose of Life

The purpose of Life is eternal, though on Earth it is short

Focusing on the right things is what we need the most

God’s purposes are everlasting, they never end

This is a thing to be mindful of, a thing we should be taught

Carriers of the Glory, bearers of the Cross

That’s our destiny, our only course

David completely fulfilled God’s purpose in his generation

That, in fact, was the purpose of his coronation

The Bible says the Lord has crowned us also, not in vain

With glory and honor, Psalm 8:5 says this clear and plain

That should be our passion, our reason to live

The Lord gave His life for us, our life to Him we must give

70, 80, or even a 100 years will quickly come and go

Heavenly values are the only things that will remain through it all

Only eternal perspectives will be able to stand the eternal test

Therefore it’s not worth it to live on Earth for all the rest

So, what’s the solution, what is the plan?

Live like a heavenly creature, while you are still man (woman)

Think about Heaven, live for the Lord and serve Him

Let Him decide where you should go and what you should do, and

then it will be worth it.
